What Matters Most? An Elul Reflection

What to Expect

As Elul begins, we are invited to pause before the New Year and consider a simple but powerful question: What matters most?

In the midst of busy lives, finding space to reflect can be difficult. This 90-minute online session combines Jewish wisdom and insights from coaching psychology to help us step back, take stock, and prepare intentionally for the year ahead.

Drawing on classic Jewish teachings and guided reflective exercises, we'll explore where we are in our lives right now, what deserves our attention, and how we might approach the New Year with greater clarity, meaning, and purpose.

Whether you are navigating a transition, seeking renewed direction, or simply looking for a meaningful way to begin Elul, you are warmly welcome.

Led by Neil Janes, Rabbi, researcher and coach, with a PhD in Jewish Studies and an MSc in Coaching Psychology.

Materials will be emailed in advance after registration and the session will be held on zoom.

In this session we will

  • Reflect on where you are right now and what is calling for your attention

  • Explore the values and commitments that matter most to you

  • Engage with Jewish texts through a contemporary lens

  • Develop a meaningful intention for Elul and the year ahead

Come as you are. Leave with greater clarity, purpose, and intention.
